Under a War-Torn Sky Review

Henry Forester is a 19-year-old pilot in the U.S. Air Force. WWII is reaching its deadliest point now (or so Henry says), it is 1944 and experienced pilots are scarce. Henry and his bomber are sent into Germany to make a critical air raid, but when Henry's plane is shot out of the sky when passing through France, Henry must make life or death decisions so he can make it home to his family.

My opinion of this book is that it was suspenseful and seemed like this actually happened. I think that this novel is different then most other because some people think that WWII was just one huge, and bloody battle, but really there was a lot more to it. I would recommend this book to any one who enjoys a novel that starts out fast and keep the same intensity throughout the rest of the novel, or just anyone who likes an enjoyable WWII book because that is the time setting of this story. As of right now there are no other books in the series so far. That is why Under A War-Torn Sky by L.M. Elliott is a book that many more people should read.

Under a War-Torn Sky Overview

When Henry Forester is shot down during a bombing run over France, the World War II pilot finds himself trapped behind enemy lines. In constant danger of discovery by German soldiers, Henry begins a remarkable journey to greedom. Relying on the kind ness of strangers, Henry moves from town to town--traveling by moonlight, never asking questions, or even the names of the people who help him along the way. Through his journey, Henry gains an understanding of the French and their struggle; and of his own place in a war that will change the face of Europe forever.

under a war torn sky - Rhonda V. -
This is a book about a soldier's way home, and how the French freedom fighters save him. This is a good book if you like action, drama, and tragedy.
The reason it is a good book is because it shows what it must be like to be stuck behind enemy lines, and it is what a soldier will face.
