Having just entered into the "Silent Ranks" myself, I was told to pick up this book as a way to find my way around this new military life. Turns out, this is one of the most important books I may ever read. Mollie is hilarious at the appropriate time, and serious when need-be. Her tone changes just as life changes every day for the wife of a military man.

This book is not for the faint of heart, but her brutal honesty is what made this book so special and especially, hilarious.

At the turn of every page, I was saying, "that's me!" or "I thought I was the only one!" Her ingenious approach to telling the story of being a civillian in a military world was a great welcome for me, and has already been of great use as well. She provides so much information that is exceptionally useful not only for the young wife just starting out in a new life, but also for the experienced military wife who can relate to Mollie's stories, and her trials and tribulations.

A MUST READ for anyone marrying into the military. I will recommend this book for years and years to come. Just don't try to borrow my copy...you never know when you'll need the handy glossary at the back of the book! :)

A MUST HAVE for any girlfriend/fiance/wife of any military branch - RSLeBlanc -
This book is so awesome. Her views, although mostly during war time stemming from the 9/11 attacks, are relative. We still go through deployments and how she coped with her friends is very similar to how I cope with mine. It was just the laugh I needed at the right time. Now I can look this deployment I'm going through in the eyes and say you can't take me down. Thanks Mollie!

I'm have mixed feelings about this book. It's a good book. Mollie tells us a good stories and I can related to her but there are some stories that offended me. Especially when she talked about the ugly baby... I mean she didn't need to share it in public. Why did she has to put it in this book?? Couldn't she just keep it in her mind? That's very immature no matter what reason.

Just to start off, I'm still fairly new to being a military wife so learning everything and adjusting to the lifestyle can be confusing at times!
Another wife had given me the book as a birthday present, and I could NOT put this book down. It was so helpful with real life experiences and really helped explain parts of being a military wife that I did not understand before, and also gave me some insight on whats to be expected with deployment (we haven't had to go through deployment yet),and to top it all off, IT WAS HILARIOUS! "Confessions" was a real inspiration for me to be the best/supporting wife I can be, to be active in a base community (as soon as we get to one!) and to get out and make the best of a situation, and to make some life-long friends along the way.
